Prisoners of War in Germany
The Germans were not very generous hosts when it came to being a prisoner of war during World War II. Not only were the punishments for attempted escapes very severe, but the bunkhouses were in terrible conditions and the food rations were very small. These prisoners were being treated so horribly due to the lack of supplies and as World War II carried on the resources of the Third Reich were very low and their attention was not being put into taking care of prisoners.
