American Held POWs
As the United States entered World War II, fellow allied governments asked the United States for their help with housing of prisoners of war, because other governments were having housing shortages. Most of those prisoners were of the German descent, however the United States also housed prisoners of war of other nationalities, including Japanese. Although, not only were prisoners of war housed by America; any person of Japanese was interned.
